On May 10 2014 residents Lois and Mark Stalder once again stepped up to the plate to assist Director David Pieski in aquatic planting. Last years' canna really thrived, whereas the pickerelweed didn't . Consumption by grass carp was suspected. So this year, fencing was erected to hopefully protect the plants. Time will tell. About 70 pickerelweed, yellow canna, orange canna, and bulrush were installed. Thanks Lois and Mark!

A modern hayride, courtesy of Brian Robbins and his ATV plus trailer, provided loads of fun for young and old alike. Big thanks to Renee and Brian, Robbin Riebel, and all the folks who donated their time or brought a dish to this event.

On February 2, residents Lois and Mark Stalder, Board Director David Pieski, and some community minded neighborhood children planted 180 pickerelweed and canna in our lagoon. This project was reviewed and approved by your Board of Directors at the December 2012 meeting. The plants purpose is two-fold. One -- to absorb nutrient run-off and retard algae bloom and Two --- shoreline beautification. When in bloom, pickerelweed has purple while the canna has yellow flowers. Let's hope they thrive
